Americans

We now have two more official Americans in our family! It was fun to watch the girls signing their Certificates of Citizenship. They are very proud to be Americans (even though they don't understand what it means). They will someday.

Is the world upside down or is it just our family?

We've been having a great time with the girls lately. As you can see . . . things are really going well. The girls are starting to bond with us and understand rules and expectations. They have come so far. We are so proud of them and love them so much. If we could only get our two year-old under control now!

Going to Work

Kylie and Addison feel a little left out each morning as Senait and Meseret ride away into the sunrise. Actually, they are on the bus on the way to school and it is long after sunrise, but you get the picture. Anyone, one morning after searching for matching shoes, finding lost gloves, getting homework into the correct backpack and helping the girls get themselves and all their stuff safely on the bus, I came into the kitchen to find Kylie and Addison arm in arm. They came over, gave me big kisses and said "Bye Mom. Love you. We are going to work." They were prepared. They had their keys, they had their babies, they had their purses. They were set (and so darn cute)!

Help from the girls

Meseret and Senait inform me that it is time to add something new to our long neglected blog. So, here we are. We've had an amazing two weeks. The girls have really been happy and helpful. I think Family Home Evening lessons are finally kicking in. It is amazing how far they have come in the past 6 months. That's right . . . it has been nearly six months since we first met. I am happy to report that we are starting to feel like a family now. We love our little ladies so much.
